The West Riding Classic 2024: The Final Ride Sunday 26th May 2024

Racing Bike

After more than a decade, we’ve decided that this year is our final edition of the West Riding Classic. Come and join us for one last circuit together. We’ve chosen the bank holiday Sunday to give people the best chance of being able to make it.

  • Choice of three routes.
  • Analogue timing system with souvenir clocking-in route card.
  • Excellent feed station with home-made real food menu designed for endurance cycling.
  • Well signposted routes on quiet roads.
  • Free .gpx files (satnav).
  • Raises money for three good causes (Cave Rescue, Goma Cycling Club and IWGB).
  • Friendly supportive atmosphere.

The West Riding Classic starts and finishes in Clapham Village and there are three routes to choose from: Short (30 miles), Long (60 miles) and Extra Long (70 miles). And there is plenty of climbing – 2000 metres of vertical ascent on the extra long route – as the route navigates each of the famous three peaks Ingleborough, Penyghent and Whernside.

Meeting point: Clapham, North Yorkshire, LA2 8DZ

Start times:

• 8am – 9:30am: extra-long route, 70 miles, 2200m vertical climbing

• 8am – 10:30am: long route, 60 miles

• 10am – 11am: short route, 30 miles
