The team presently managing the Community News have decided to copy many similar groups and produce a short framework document describing how the magazine is run and maintained. This will help any future handover to new volunteers, will make our efforts more transparent to readers and advertisers, and gives us greater standing when dealing with our bank and other organisations.
In the document we commit to arranging an annual open meeting when the committee will hold themselves up to public account, present the finances and invite ideas and opinions from those who come along. The first such meeting is now confirmed for Wednesday 27th November at the Settle Quaker Meeting House at 7pm. All with an interest in the magazine are warmly invited.
