High Sheriff’s visit

High Sheriff visits Pioneer Projects

The High Sheriff of North Yorkshire recently paid a visit to Pioneer Projects in High Bentham to present an award for services to the community – and a cheque for £500. This year’s Sheriff, Artist Clare Granger, took a particular interest in organisations using art and creativity to help improve people’s inclusion and wellbeing.

The High Sheriff is pictured with the Chair of Pioneer Projects Trustees, Richard Pattinson; Pioneer Projects Trustee, Dr Jane Burnett and Pioneer Projects Strategic Director, Leon Fijalkowski.

Pioneer have been delivering wellbeing focused creative activities across Craven for over a quarter of a century, working across ages, but with a real focus on people experiencing poor mental health, and those living with dementia.

Pioneer Projects run the Making Connections Dementia group in Settle and have an artist and keyworker in the Wellbeing Cafe, held on Tuesdays, at Settle Victoria Hall. If you would like to know more: Tel 015242 62672 or email office@pioneerprojects.org.uk
