Gerry Card (94), seen here with his wife Margaret, was honoured at the annual gathering of the Community News production and distribution teams, as almost certainly our oldest deliver. Gerry has been popping the magazine through letterboxes in Long Preston for many years and intends to keep doing so for a few more years to come.
Editor John Drake told those present at the event held at Settle Social Club in January, that he was delighted with the range of contributions to the magazine showing just how much is happening our community. Phil Hinde who acts as chair of the group responsible for the publication reported that we remain in a reasonably strong financial position and attractive to advertisers as, thanks to the team of deliverers we reach communities, we reach households not just in Settle and Giggleswick but across an area between Ribblehead and Hellifield
field.
