As we emerge from the pandemic it is excellent to report that the travel possibilities in the Settle area are improving with the summer timetables!
As a few may already know rail services on both the Settle-Carlisle and Bentham railway lines have reverted to their usual compliment of services as from the 16th May timetable change. In the case of the Settle-Carlisle line, there are no significant changes from the pre-Covid timetable. The later trains from Leeds will have been reinstated which will doubtless be a relief to commuters and pupils attending Skipton schools. A reminder that Dalescards are available affording local residents 1/3 off rail fares. For current timetable details please visit www.northernrailway.co.uk or www.foscl.org.uk.
However, there is even brighter news on the local bus front with the introduction of some seasonal services. You can visit www.dalesbus.org for all the latest bus timetable information including normal and seasonal services across the Yorkshire Dales.
