Trustees of the North Craven Building Preservation Trust, stewards of the Museum of North Craven Life at The Folly, have been amazed by Settle’s extraordinary response to their crowdfunder, which has helped them to purchase the Horner Photographic Collection. Over £5,000 has been raised to help the Museum preserve the collection for the public to enjoy for years to come.

The Horner Collection contains over 1000 photographs taken by three members of the Horner family, who ran Settle’s photographic studio from 1864 to 1960. Their photographs captured the changing faces and places of Settle and the surrounding areas for almost a century.
